We are pleased to inform you that the 40th Symposium on Medicinal Chemistry, organized by the Division of Medicinal Chemistry of the Pharmaceutical Society of Japan, will be held on November 13-15, 2023, at Nagoya University. It will be held at Toyota Auditorium in a fully face-to-face setting for the first time in three years since the pandemic.

This symposium is the largest academic conference in the field of medicinal chemistry, where many researchers active in various fields in industry, academia, and government gather to engage in a lively discussion, with the aim of further improving drug discovery capabilities in Japan. It is also a valuable venue for raising awareness, gathering information, and networking about medicinal chemistry, not only for leading researchers, but also for young researchers and undergraduate/graduate students who will be responsible for drug discovery in the future. This will be the first time in six years that the event will be held in the Tokai region, and we hope that many of you will attend and further foster drug discovery through active sharing of knowledge and experience among the participants.
