ご挨拶Greetings

この度、西南学院大学が日本経営学会第99回大会を2025年9月2日（火）～5日（金）に開催させていただくことになりました。第99回大会では、「経営学のこれまでとこれから」を統一論題として、経営学のこれまでをふりかえるとともに、これからを展望して第100回大会へと引き継いでいく役割を果たしてまいりたいと存じます。

統一論題では、日本経営学会がこれまで取り組んできた「経営と人間」および「経営と技術」という2つの関係に焦点をあてて、経営学の過去と未来を展望したいと思います。加えて、経営学の発展を左右する「経営学研究の評価」にも焦点をあてて、これからの経営学研究の行く末を皆様とともに真剣に考えたいと思います。

その他にも、自由論題、ワークショップ、学会賞セッション、会員総会、懇親会を開催する予定です。とりわけ、自由論題の大学院生セッションでは、大学院生の研究をいっそう深めるための新しい取り組みを始めます。すべての会場では、ゲストアカウントIDとeduroamの無線LANサービスを準備して、快適な通信環境を提供いたします。第99回大会の詳細につきましては、日本経営学会HPの大会案内等におきまして、適宜お知らせしてまいります。どうぞ楽しみにお待ちください。

日本経営学会の全国大会が九州地区で開催されるのは、2015年に熊本学園大学で開催された第89回大会以来、実に10年ぶりとなります。第99回大会が開催される福岡市では、天神地区と博多地区の再開発が2021年から進んでおります。街並みの様子は日々と変わっておりますので、その新しい街並みもぜひお楽しみください。なお、福岡市の宿泊事情は依然として厳しい状況が続くと思われますので、ご参加の際には宿泊先をぜひ早めにご手配くださいますようお願い申し上げます。実行委員会も第99回大会のプログラムをできるだけ早く公開できるように努めてまいります。

開催校となる西南学院大学は、学芸学部の単一学部からなる新制大学として1949年に開設され、現在は人文・社会科学系の7学部12学科、大学院7研究科を備える総合大学として発展しております。その本学が伝統ある日本経営学会の全国大会を開学以来、実に76年の歳月を経て初めて開催させていただくことは、この上ない喜びであります。加えて、本学の商学部は2024年に創立70周年を迎えましたので、その記念事業としても第99回大会を開催させていただきたく存じます。本学の商学部と外国語学部に所属する5人の会員が実行委員会を組織し、第99回大会を皆様に存分に楽しんでいただけますように精一杯努めてまいります。一人でも多くの皆様のご参加を心よりお待ちしております。

We are pleased to announce that Seinan Gakuin University will host the 99th Annual Meeting of the Japan Academy of Business Administration (JABA) from Tuesday, September 2 to Friday, September 5, 2025. The theme of the 99th Annual Meeting is "The Past and Future of Business Administration", and we hope to fulfill our role by looking back at the past of business administration and looking forward to the future, and to pass on to the 100th Annual Meeting.

The unifying theme of the meeting will be a look at the past and future of business administration, focusing on the two relationships that JABA has been working on so far: "Management and Human" and "Management and Technology". In addition, we will also focus on "the evaluation of research for business administration", which will affect the development of business administration, and we would like to seriously consider the future of business administration research together with everyone.

In addition, we will hold free theme sessions, workshops, academic award sessions, a general membership meeting, and a reception. In particular, at the free theme session for graduate students, we will launch a new initiative to further deepen graduate student research. At all venues, we will provide a convenient communication environment with guest account ID and eduroam wireless LAN services. We will provide details about the 99th Annual Meeting on the JABA website, including the meeting guide, as appropriate. Please stay tuned.

It has been 10 years since the 89th Annual Meeting of the JABA was held at Kumamoto Gakuen University in Kyushu. In Fukuoka City, where the 99th Annual Meeting will be held, the redevelopment of Tenjin and Hakata districts is underway from 2021. The appearance of the city is changing day by day, so please enjoy the new cityscape. In addition, the accommodation situation in Fukuoka City is expected to remain difficult, so please make sure to arrange your accommodation as soon as possible if you plan to attend. The Executive Committee will also work to make the program for the 99th Annual Meeting available as soon as possible.

Seinan Gakuin University, the host institution, was founded in 1949 as a new university with a single Faculty of Arts and Sciences, and has since developed into a comprehensive university with seven faculties and twelve departments in the humanities and social sciences, as well as seven graduate schools. It is a great pleasure for us to host the annual meeting of the JABA for the first time in the 76 years since our university was founded. In addition, the Faculty of Commerce of our university is celebrating its 70th anniversary in 2024, so we would like to hold the 99th meeting as a commemorative event. Five members from the Faculty of Commerce and the Faculty of Foreign Languages of our university have formed an executive committee and will do their best to ensure that everyone enjoys the 99th annual meeting to the fullest. We look forward to welcoming as many people as possible.
